With MijnCN Authorizing you or another person can receive assistance managing online government affairs. By ‘authorising’ a person or being ‘authorised’ yourself this can be done securely and safely without providing your own account details. An authorisation can also be revoked easily if required. This way you maintain control of who has access to your account
You always authorise a person for only one specific service, for instance loonheffing (LH), loss of earnings, or algemene bestedingsbelasting (ABB). You can only authorise one person or company per service. You can subsequently authorise this person or company for multiple services. An authorisation is granted for an indefinite period of time but you can change or revoke it at all times.
Even if you have already authorized someone to submit online tax returns ABB (General Expenditure Tax), LH (Wage Tax), and Loonderving (Loss of Wages, Social Affairs and Employment), you nevertheless need to authorize someone separately to submit the verzamelloonstaat.
You can authorise companies or persons. This can for instance be a relative or an accountancy office. The authorised party must have an own account at MijnCN.
In all instances you can only authorise someone to perform a specific service, for example the loonheffing tax return (LH), the Verzamelloonstaat, loss of wages, or algemene bestedingsbelasting (ABB). You can only authorise a single person or company for each service. However, you can then authorise this person or company for additional services. An authorisation applies for an indefinite period of time, but you can always change or retract it whenever you want.
No, it is not possible to authorise multiple persons for one service.
MijnCN will send you an e-mail when an authorization has been accepted by the authorized party. Furthermore, you can view your granted authorizations yourself by logging in to MijnCN and going to the ‘Authorizations’ menu. You will see the status of your authorizations under ‘Granted authorizations'. Everything next to which ‘Valid’ is displayed, has been activated and can be used by the authorized party.
Please contact our helpdesk for this information.
No, without a valid account it unfortunately is not possible to authorize a person or to become an authorized person yourself.
The so-called ‘chain authorization’ (ketenmachtiging) was introduced especially for companies which take care of tax returns for multiple clients. As intermediary with legal chain authorization you can transfer granted authorizations to employees of your company in your corporate account. These employees are then authorized to take care of your clients’ tax returns. Your corporate account thus becomes a management account for all authorizations granted to you and all your authorized employees.
This service is only intended for intermediaries. Please contact your contact person at the Belastingdienst Caribisch Nederland to get access to chain authorization.
An intermediary with chain authorization has a tab titled ‘manage employee accounts’ under the ‘authorizations’ menu. Click on ‘register new employee’ here and complete the steps. The employee now only needs to activate the account with the activation code which you give to them.
When I try to activate an authorisation, the screen ‘hangs’ with the message “please wait”. What should I do?
You may have tried to reactivate a previously activated authorisation request. Look at your overview of permissions. Otherwise, contact helpdesk.
You may have started authorising someone at an earlier stage, but you may have not completed it. The button will then be disabled.
Look at the status of an authorisation under the section ‘Issued Permissions’. Complete it or delete it. The button ‘Authorise someone’ has been activated again. You can now authorise someone again.
If this does not work, please contact helpdesk.
