You need a CRIB number to create a private or business account. You do not yet have a CRIB number? Then you must visit the Belastingdienst Caribisch Nederland first to apply for one. If you create an account as an employer to give notice of absenteeism and to apply for lost pay, then you must use your business CRIB number and email address.
Go to MijnCN and click on ‘create account’. After you have completed all steps, MijnCN will check your data. In exceptional cases it can take up to three days but normally you will immediately receive an activation link via e-mail. You will activate your account by clicking on the blue ‘activate account’ button in the e-mail. Subsequently you can log in with your e-mail address and password. This video explains step by step how to create and activate an account. Or you can read this step-by-step plan.
Did you previously have an account for filing your inkomstenbelasting return online? Then you must create a new account and request a verification code. With this verification code you will confirm your identity to the Belastingdienst Caribisch Nederland, after which they will connect your data to your new MijnCN account. It is also mandatory to verify your account for the use of the online services of SZW. Watch this video to see how to request a verification code. Or you can read this step-by-step plan.
We recommend you to enable 2-Factor Authentication to add extra security to your account. If you use these online services of SZW then 2-Factor Authentication is mandatory. Watch this video to see how to enable 2-Factor Authentication. Or you can read this step-by-step plan.
After completing the steps to create your account, you will receive an e-mail with an activation link. You will activate your account by clicking on the blue ‘activate account’ button in the e-mail. Read it in this step-by-step plan.
If you are unable to activate your account this can be due to a number of reasons. Just to be sure, please check whether you:
- Are entering the correct username and the correct password
- Have already activated your account. You can check this by logging in, if you are able to do this successfully your account has already been activated.
If you are still unable to activate your account, it is best to request another activation link. You will then receive a new activation link via e-mail almost immediately. Read it in this step-by-step plan.
Your e-mail address is your username. Your e-mail address is important during the creation of your user account and for further communications between you and the services. You still have not received an activation link after this? Then please contact our helpdesk. Read it in this step-by-step plan.
If your activation link has expired, you can request a new link. Go to the login page and click on ‘activation link expired’. Enter your e-mail address and click on ‘request new activation link’. Read it in this step-by-step plan.
No, the activation link cannot be sent by post.
The password of a MijnCN account is strictly personal. It is therefore not allowed to create an account for others. If you are assisting someone, ask this person to create the account together and to authorise you. From that moment on you can file tax returns for the person you are assisting from your own account. Here you can read more about authorising.
