In case of sickness or an occupational accident you must notify the absence on the first working day that your employee is unable to work. Hence, ‘saving’ applications for loss of income is no longer possible within the new method! You must submit a maternity leave application between four and two weeks prior to the start of the leave.
To give notice of absenteeism, you need, among other things, the full name, the sedula number and the CRIB number, and the most recent salary slip of the employee. This information is required to establish your employee's identity. You must also provide the telephone number on which your employee can be reached in the daytime. The RCN SZW unit will use this to contact your employee for a medical consultation.

Yes. You must register the first time you log in to the web portal as an employer. You can subsequently notify an absence. You will create a corporate account on MijnCN. You need to use your business CRIB number and email address when you create an account. After you have logged in click on ‘Go to mijn SZW’ at the bottom.
Because the SZW both receives and sends personal information, extra security is required. The use of 2-Factor Authentication for the online services of the SZW is therefore compulsory. Here you can read more about 2-Factor Authentication.
The employee who is not working due sickness or an occupational accident, must make sure that they can be reached during office hours. The RCN SZW unit will contact your employee by telephone within two working days after notification. Furthermore, the employee must be prepared to provide information on their medical condition. In case of absence due to maternity leave, the RCN SZW unit will request a medical certificate from the obstetrician.
You can change your application. If this is not or no longer possible, you can contact the RCN SZW unit, so we can correct the error.
If you have completed the first page in full, your responses will be saved automatically. If you have not completed the first page in full, you will need to start all over again. Please remember that in case of sickness or an occupational accident, your notification must be submitted on the first day of absence.

No. It is only possible to file an online application for loss of income via MijnCN. You can no longer use the yellow and white cards.
When your employee's data are complete, your application will be processed promptly and you will receive a response. If your application is granted, you will receive the first payment no later than two weeks after our response. Your benefit for loss of wages will be paid through the Belastingdienst Caribisch Nederland.
